"Working with technologically progressive states such as
Michigan, Ohio, and Georgia has enabled us to continually improve and streamline
the processes associated with managing Highway Safety grants. Not only does a
web-based grants management system benefit State program and financial staff, it
also provides sub-grantees a quicker and easier way to apply and receive grant
funding," remarked IntelliGrantsTM Solutions Consultant, Ryan
Minto.
"Using a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solution approach to implement
IntelliGrantsTM provides substantial cost savings to our clients and a
shorter implementation timeframe compared to 100% custom-developed systems,"
said Agate Director of eGovernment, Scott Jenkins. "At Agate, our goal is to
create 'Best Practices' in web-based grant management. Highway Safety is a prime
area of focus to make this a reality."
The Georgia GOHS goal is to provide highway safety data and fact-based analyses
that will assist communities and safety advocates in implementing effective programs
that will change high-risk driving behavior and increase safety on our streets and
highways. The Mission of the Governor's Office of Highway Safety is to educate the
public on traffic safety and facilitate the implementation of programs that reduce
crashes, injuries, and fatalities on Georgia roadways. Visit the GOHS website
