Agate Software is pleased to announce that the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs is
now accepting grant applications with their new grant administration system nicknamed SAGE, the System for Administering
Grants Electronically. The system was designed and developed by Agate Software and was built upon Agate Software's award-winning
IntelliGrants software package.
This initial phase of this project which includes the publication of the Neighborhood Preservation
Balanced Housing Grant Program has been successfully completed and a full departmental implementation of the enterprise-level IntelliGrants solution will follow.
This new grant administration system will help the sub-grantees of New Jersey report to the
Department of Community Affairs and receive their funding more quickly," said Agate Software Director of e-Government Solutions
Scott Jenkins. Ultimately, every aspect of the grant process will operate more smoothly and efficiently as a result of this
system.
Electronic grants management is truly becoming a necessary part of State government," said Tim
Pearl, President of Agate Software, Inc. "By offering an efficient, web-based solution, states and other grant-making
organizations can better allocate their resources and spend more time focusing on program impact.
The aggressive timelines set forth for this project were possible with the configuration of the
already flexible and dynamic IntelliGrants software that was used as the foundation for this system. The dedication of the
talented staff members of the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs that were assigned to the project was also pivotal in
achieving these timelines. This teamwork helped to ensure that Agate Software, Inc. was able to configure this new grant
system which greatly improve the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs' grant dissemination and management processes.
